Prodif 88

Multi-Channel AES/EBU with a maximum 24 Bit/96kHz resolution.

The Prodif 88 is the first PCI-Interface card for the transmission of Multi-Channel AES/EBU with a maximum 24 Bit/ 96kHz resolution.

A total of 4 AES/EBU-connections are available using a Breakout Cable. Up to four cards can be cascaded within one PC, giving a total of 32 Channels. The Prodif 88 is not only the absolute first choice for DVD-/ Surround- and Multi-Channel productions, but also for the direct connection to AD/DA converters and mixing consoles equipped with AES/EBU-interfaces - thus removing the need for troublesome format converters.

An integrated high-quality analogue output allows comfortable monitoring of digital channels. The card can also be synchronized from an external word clock source.

AES/EBU is without doubt the professional standard for digital audio. With today's surround technology, the requirements for the transfer of multi-channel AES/EBU from AD/DA converters is even more relevant. The Prodif 88 offers no less then 4x AES/EBU-I/O's per card!

Features of the Prodif 88:

  • 4x transformer balanced AES/EBU I/O's (total of 8 audio channels) in 24 Bit/96 kHz high resolution for the connection of equipment via AES/EBU.
