The Peterson VSAM Virtual StrobeTM
DACS would like to announce the arrival of the VSAM from Peterson Strobe Tuners. Hot on the heels of the world-renowned Peterson VS-1 Tuner, the VSAM uses the same Virtual StrobeTM technology pioneered in the VS-1, with some added features.
In the VSAM, the superior accuracy of strobe tuning is combined with two new features: a metronome, and a 10-octave tone generator with a built in speaker. Adjustable to all keys, temperaments and tonal roots, the VSAM maintains all the ground breaking features found on the VS-1, together with an even brighter illuminated display; the user can tune instantaneously with pinpoint accuracy, all the way down to well below the lowest note on a bass guitar! The built in microphone allows tuning of any acoustic instrument; clip-on and suction-cup pickups are available for those rare times when the built in microphone is not enough. With the tough rubber casing ensuring long term durability, the VSAM can survive even the most gruelling of live work. In addition, all the user’s favourite settings can be saved in the onboard memory and be immediately called up when the tuner is switched on, meaning no valuable studio or sound check time is wasted!
