Queen’s University Belfast
Acoustic consultant and installer of all audio wiring, furniture and acoustic treatment in 5 studios and 7 practice rooms.
University of Edinburgh
To design, supply and fit acoustic treatment for four new studios, as well as design and supply all wiring. Also to cable existing studios.
Lanehead Studios
We worked closely with the Architect and Contractor at all stages of the design, specifying finishes, detail (e.g. mechanical separation in window frames, angle of windows, wall and ceiling construction) and construction methods, as well as power supply and electrical wiring requirements. In addition we designed, manufactured and supplied all the control room Studio furniture.
The main project was:
1. Main Studio - to design, build and install acoustic treatment for a large performance area (floor area 7.5m x 5.5m, pitched ceiling with peak at 6.5m). This presented particular problems due to the delicate and quiet nature of the Lute.
2. Control Studio - to design, build and install acoustic treatment; design, build and install studio furniture; supply and install all equipment.
Andromeda Heights
Owner – Paddy McAloon (Prefab Sprout)
We were called in close to completion of the building work. We installed all the electrical wiring, studio furniture and acoustic treatment. The recent Prefab Sprout album, Andromeda Heights, was recorded and mixed in the studio.
University of Durham Music Department
We supplied new equipment, all the studio furniture, as well as undertaking the wiring and commissioning for a complete refit of two studios. More recently we acoustically treated one of their studios.
