DACS (Digital Audio and Computer Services) was formed in 1987 by Douglas Doherty. The company began building and supplying highly spec’d, efficient computer packages for the professional audio industry. The high-performance systems were stable, optimised and seamlessly integrated into any set-up.

In 1987 DACS manufactured its first studio solution, the DACS Midi Patch Bay. Having received outstanding reviews and accolades, the DACS Midi Patch Bay gained great success. However, it wasn’t until 1997 a decade later that DACS announced its Clarity range. A range of Mic-pre and headphone amplification that cemented the ideology and sound DACS is renowned for today.

Born from their predecessors. Innovative products that have provided studio solutions such as the HeadLine and HeadLite 3+ or artistic natured products such as the FREQue II are now the bedrock of the DACS Pro Audio range.
