Traditional Balinese and Thai Musical instruments and artefacts

Didgeridoos, rain sticks, djembes, masks, carved wooden panels, acoustically designed lights...

Our musical instruments are sourced directly from Bali and are made by a small specialist manufacturer - absolutely no mass production here! The other items are sourced directly from Balinese and Thai traditional manufacturers and include Barong masks, carved screens showing Hindu Gods or scenes from Hindu legends.

Anglia Ruskin University, situated in the heart of leafy Cambridge, offer a fantastic range of Audio technology and Creative music courses and we are building a studio suite to enable their delivery. We are working within what was a practice room and a store cupboard, converting them into a recording space and control room.

In this article I propose to put the standards into an historical and functional perspective ie when and for what purpose was a standard set.
