Samplitude/Sequoia Version 11

Following the launch of Samplitude/Sequoia version 11, we are pleased to announce your facility to upgrade at minimal cost.  All customers who buy a new copy of Samplitude/Sequoia or crossgrade from another DAW now and until V11 is available, are eligible to receive an upgrade to V11 for FREE.  This offer also includes Samplitude upgrades to version 10/10 Pro from version 8 and older and Sequoia upgrades to version 10 from version 8 and older.  Read more about the features of V11

DACS recently installed the sound system and advised on acoustic treatment for the Apartment Group's new bar, Madame Koo. This exotic, unusual and now very popular bar presented a number of issues for us to deal with. Linking the system into their other bars on the 'Diamond Strip' (Florita's and Baby Lynch) was an important feature - on some nights the venues are transformed into a 'mega venue' with 1500+ capacity. Also of course, the venue can be split into a number of small areas with independent music.

DACS are extending Orocco Pier's Genelec background music system. Building on their great success Orocco Pier are opening a new section that will offer further views of the Forth Road Bridge on one side, and the picturesque Queensferry High Street on the other.

DACS supplied a pair of Wilson Benesch Carbon 1s for an exhibition of audio art by Sheffield based collective HAG. The event was part of the national "Night at the Museum" inspired range of events at museums and galleries across the country.

DACS exhibited at the Newcastle City Council Noise at Work Seminar, held at St James' Park

The seminar was aimed at people with responsibility for regulatory matters in licensed premises including noise control.

Occupiers of Licensed premises have clear legal obligations towards their employees.  Since April 2008 these have included a duty to ensure that employees are not subjected to noise levels likely to cause harm.

Recent informal surveys undertaken by Newcastle City Council indicate that many licensed premises are not yet fully aware of these legal obligations. 

Most bars and clubs are in breach of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.  Local authorities are becoming active both in providing information to employers and enforcing the provisions of the regulations.
