"It looks amazing. It sounds amazing. It's amazing!"
Sunbeams Music Trust was founded by Cumbrian born Harpist and singer Annie Mawson in 1992 to improve the health and wellbeing of people with special needs through the creative power of music. The Charity provides therapeutic Music for Life and Music for Dignity music sessions in over 40 project venues, to 1,400 disabled and disadvantaged people every month.
At the start of 2016 the site for Sunbeams Music Centre was a field on the outskirts of Penrith, Cumbria. By the end of the year the space would be used by the community and had a wider reaching impact on the nation as a whole.
DACS Audio were asked to provide a modern, contemporary space that would feel right at home in amongst the rolling hills of Cumbria. With the help of local architects Mawson Kerr a plan was drawn up and submitted for approval. Not long after work on the studio space officially started.
